Our work helps social impact leaders deeply
connect and think together in service of
people and the planet.
Meet the Principal
Alan Wesley Goff, M.Ed. is an intergroup process consultant, facilitator, and educator, and the Principal and Keeper of The Sambai Circle.
He has spent two decades helping social impact leaders navigate the human dynamics that shape collective work.
Through deep dialogues, engaged learning experiences, and dynamic workshops, Alan helps social impact leaders connect and collaborate to create collective change.
He is known for skillfully channeling the power of deep listening to get to the heart of key issues and questions. His practice is grounded in a philosophy of stewardship: witnessing what is present, naming what matters, and guiding groups to tap into their inherent capacity for collaboration and co-creation.
Who We Work With
We partner with leadership and project teams, boards, committees, cohorts, coalitions, departments, and other collective bodies with a social or environmental mission.
We work closely with partners who understand that the impact of their work to improve society and steward the planet depends on the quality of their relationships and the depth of their alignment around purpose, values, and direction.
-
Education & Social Development
Educators and social development leaders often hold bold visions of change within systems built around complex controls and constraints.
We work with educators, institutions, and people development leaders who are working to transform systems of teaching, learning, and human development.
-
Justice, Equality & Human Rights
Working for systemic justice and human dignity requires work on political, relational, and deeply personal fronts.
Advocates and organizers often hold a clear vision for a better world and the exhaustion that comes from the deep work it takes to realize it.
We help social change organizations and coalitions move into deep connection, alignment, and trust needed to sustain ongoing work for justice.
-
Environmental Management, Justice & Sustainability
In the work of environmental stewardship, relationships are the glue that binds research, policy, strategy, and implementation.
We work with stewards and scholars who are bridging diverse disciplines, jurisdictions, and worldviews to act together for people and the planet.
-
Arts & Culture
Artists and culture keepers are the memory and imagination of a society. Their work bridges past and future, tradition and innovation.
And yet, collaboration in creative spaces often requires holding creative tension and collective vision all at once.
We support artists, cultural organizations, and creative collectives to build spaces where visual and performing arts weave the threads between cultural, social, and environmental stewardship.
How We Help
-
Alignment & Collaboration
We design and facilitate inclusive and participatory meetings, workshops, and retreats that foster inclusive participation and co-creation.
Our work prioritizes equitable process, critical reflection, and collective wisdom, engaging the range of voices, perspectives, identities, and experiences in the room.

-
Group Dynamics & Culture
We help groups critically examine the dynamics and patterns shaping their interactions, relationships, and work.
We guide deep listening and critical inquiry to help groups understand the history and context shaping “how we got here,” and to shift the culture & climate of their team and working environment.

-
Advanced
We lead learning and development experiences that equip leaders and groups with skills to engage in deep dialogue and collaborative leadership.
Our transformative learning programs help leaders and teams develop the mindset, skillsets, and toolsets needed to foster deeper connection and lead justice-driven change.
